    The United Methodist Youth Home For over 35 years, the United Methodist Youth Home has served some of Indiana’s most vulnerable youth. At UMYH, we provide a variety of programming centered on helping at-risk youth become responsible and productive members of the community. The young people we serve have faced incredibly difficult obstacles and struggle to develop healthy coping skills. They are in need of a delicate balance of care and discipline. The treatment we provide is designed to achieve this, while empowering the youth to overcome the serious traumas they have faced and learn the skills needed to live independently.

    Facilities Manager. We currently have an opening for a Facilities Manager at UMYH. Employee must be 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include:

    • General maintenance, repair, replacement and up-keep of the campus, buildings and vehicles.
    • Weekly inspections of all buildings, grounds and vehicles.
    • Maintenance of heating and air conditioning units.
    • Maintenance of lawn.
    • Scheduling of routine vehicle maintenance.

    This position could either be part time or full time. Full time position offers health, vision, dental and paid time off.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift

  • Residential Counselor - Part Time

    We currently have a need for qualified candidates for the Residential Counselor position for second and third shifts. A Residential Counselor provides support and supervision of our youth throughout the course of all daily programming activities. Employees must be 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal background check and drug test, and have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include:

    • Being a positive role model.
    • Teaching appropriate behavior.
    • Teaching appropriate social skills and life skills.
    • Participating in daily programming activities.
    • Helping the youth achieve their treatment goals.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Qualifications Required: High School Diploma. This is excellent experience for recent or soon-to-be COLLEGE GRADUATES who are seeking an entry-level position into the Social Service Field. Pay commensurate with education and experience. Second and Third shifts available.
