Current Volunteer Needs

UMYH does not have any custodial staff and has only one Facilities Manager. We rely on volunteers to keep our campus safe, clean, and beautiful. Opportunities range from indoor cleaning, to outdoor maintenance, to specialized projects.

Volunteers involved in the Ambassador Program represent UMYH in their churches and community organizations. They communicate news, events, and any other UMYH updates to their group or organization.

We are always looking for people to come and speak to or teach our young people. Whether it is sharing your expertise in gardening, or inspiring them by telling your story of how music changed your life; real life experiences and people are the best way for them to learn.

Youth create Memory Books during their stay in our residential group homes. Residents receive these books when they leave UMYH as keepsakes and reminders of their achievements while in the program. It also treats them to fun memories and friendships they made during their time at UMYH. (All photos and papers must stay on-campus)

Every year in September, UMYH participates in the United Way’s “Day of Caring.” Multiple organizations visit our campus to take part in a variety of volunteer projects— one big day of showing love and support through volunteer action! We have multiple shifts and skill-level projects available.
