At UMYH, we are fortunate to have team members who go above and beyond every day to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve. This month, we are proud to recognize Justin as our July Employee of the Month.
Over the past two years, Justin has become someone our youth and staff can count on. Whether he's mentoring residents, lending a hand to a coworker, or taking on a task that needs to be done, he consistently demonstrates a servant's heart and a commitment to our mission.
When staff were asked to describe Justin, three words stood out: impactful, charismatic, and resourceful. Those qualities shine through in everything he does. His positive attitude and willingness to help create an environment where both youth and coworkers feel supported and encouraged.
One example of Justin's dedication came during preparations for our Annual Block Party. While much of the work happens behind the scenes, Justin volunteered his own personal time to help move equipment and assemble workout equipment for the event. He wasn't asked to do it, and he certainly wasn't looking for recognition. He simply saw a need and stepped in to help—something that has become a hallmark of who he is.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his son, reading, and watching documentaries. Employees like Justin remind us that making a difference isn't always about grand gestures. More often, it's found in the everyday moments—showing up, helping others, and leading by example.
