A Well-Deserved Recognition: Meet Our August Staff of the Month

Behind every successful youth program are dedicated individuals who show up each day ready to make a difference. This month, we're excited to celebrate someone who does exactly that. Congratulations to Sara Boling, our August Staff of the Month!

Since joining UMYH in 2022 as a Residential Counselor, Sara has become a steady and trusted presence for the youth we serve. Whether she's offering encouragement during a difficult moment, celebrating a success, or simply being there to listen, Sara understands that the little things often make the biggest difference.

Ask anyone who works alongside her to describe Sara, and you'll likely hear the same three words: dependable, positive, and friendly. She brings a smile to every shift and approaches each day with genuine compassion and a commitment to helping our youth succeed. Her positive attitude not only uplifts the young people in our care but also creates a welcoming environment for her coworkers.

Recently, Sara stepped into the role of mentoring a new third-shift Residential Counselor. She has patiently shared her knowledge, offered encouragement, and helped her new teammate gain confidence in the role. It's just one more example of her willingness to support others and contribute to the success of the entire team.

Working third shift often happens behind the scenes, but it plays a vital role in creating a safe, stable, and supportive environment for our youth. Sara embraces that responsibility with professionalism, consistency, and care, ensuring that the youth always have someone they can rely on—even during the overnight hours.

At UMYH, we know that consistency changes lives. For many of the youth we serve, having a caring adult who shows up day after day can provide the stability they need to heal, grow, and build confidence. Sara embodies that commitment every single day, and her impact extends far beyond the responsibilities listed in her job description.

Sara, thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and the lasting relationships you've built with the youth and your fellow staff members.
